Welcome to My Home Page
I began at Kaiser Permanente during my post-doctoral residency in 2004. Upon completing my hours, I chose to stay on as a Child Family clinician in Antioch’s Mental Health Dept. Over the years, I have worked with children and teens with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, anger management and social difficulties, divorce, trauma and other significant life events. I have greatly enjoyed working collaboratively with children, teens and their parents to improve the emotional health and behavioral functioning of all members of a family. I believe that we are all in transition and can struggle at times, but despite our challenges we are all capable of change and growth.
In Sept, 2008, I added to my clinical role by working from two locations. In addition to the clients I continue to see in Antioch, I am also an Adolescent IOP Case Manager in the Pleasant Hill/Martinez Mental Health Clinic. The Adolescent IOP is designed to work with adolescents who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization or have been recently hospitalized. The goal of the Adolescent IOP is to provide teens and family members with appropriate psychiatric intervention to stabilize the present crisis. The Adolescent IOP is a short-term (8-12 week program), which offers the following mental health services:
- Crisis, Individual and Brief Family Therapy.
- Medication evaluation and management.
- Case management for up to 90 days post hospitalization.
- Referral and liaison with school personnel, community agencies and other Kaiser Permanente mental health and chemical dependency services.
The Adolescent IOP is a family program and requires the participation of parents. Adolescents with a history of drug/alcohol abuse may be referred for an evaluation at the Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program to determine the level of abuse and the appropriate intervention and/or admission into IOP.
Please keep in mind, my services to IOP patients are by referral or post-hospitalization only. Given my differing roles at the two clinics, I am unable to provide cross-clinic services to my patients at the other site. I am in the Antioch Clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and (every other) Fridays. I am in the Martinez Clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
