Providing holistic, patient-centered and culturally informed clinical care is a core philosophy of mine as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The integrated approach to wellness that Kaiser Permanente provides resonates with my belief that healthcare involves close attention to the areas of spiritual, physical and mental health. In the Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP), I work with adults, adolescents and families to understand and treat the complex origins of disordered eating. We provide comprehensive care to patients within the context of a multi-disciplinary team. At Kaiser, my practice combines a specialized focus on an individual's relationship with food, emotions and body, as well as an ongoing consideration of an individual's experience within the contexts of race, class, gender, and society.

Trained in psychodynamic clinical social work and well-versed in providing behavioral and evidence-based treatments, I bring a multi-dimensional approach to my work. I strive to collaborate with patients to identify the origins of their behaviors by exploring underlying emotions and life experiences that contribute to their overall sense of self and wellbeing.

As a first-generation Greek-American, I cherish the importance of cultural sensitivity in relating to and understanding others. I received a BA in anthropology and social psychology from Middlebury College. My clinical training was completed at Smith College School for Social Work where I received my MSW, and at Stanford University where I completed a post-graduate Fellowship in clinical social work. Prior to joining Kaiser, I was a psychiatric social worker at UCSF/San Francisco General’s cultural focus inpatient units. Additionally, I have completed a Fellowship with the American Psychoanalytic Association. I am currently completing a 2-year training program in advanced psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I am recognized and licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCS 24952).

Outside of direct practice, I enjoy mentorship, consultation and teaching/advising. I am an Adjuct Instructor and Research Advisor for the Smith College School for Social Work. Additionally, I sit on the Advisory/Steering Committee for the Coalition for Clinical Social Work. Clinical and research interests include: gender identity, body image, women's health disparities, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, cultural competency, eating disorders, trauma and identity development.
