Welcome to my homepage.

I graduated from University of Southern California in 1991 with my Master's Degree in Physical Therapy after completing undergraduate degrees in Physiology and Psychology at UC Davis. I have been working for Kaiser Permanente since 1991 in several facilities and settings. I have worked at Kasier Permanente Redwood City since 1997 and specifically in the OB/ GYN department as a pelvic floor physical therapist since Summer 2006.

My interest in Women's Health Physical Therapy began early in my career when I became a supervisor and inherited teaching a pre and post natal expercise class. I have completed specialized training Women's Health Physical Therapy:pregnancy, incontinence, osteoporosis and pelvic pain. Working directly in the OB/GYN clinic allows me to provide excellent treatment to my patients and easy access to the physicians who have referred them to me.

I currently work part time which affords me time to enjoy my family: two small children, a physical therapist husband and a puggle. I have been an adjunct professor in the Master's of Physical Therapy program at UCSF/SFSU since 1993. I also very much enjoy fiber arts and am a knitting and felting instructor.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
