Welcome to my Homepage!

I obtained my medical degree at Chicago Medical School. I trained in Internal Medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, a busy, challenging, and extremely rewarding county hospital.

I moved to the United States from the Philippines at the age of 10. I went to high school in the South Bay and attended undergraduate schooling at the University of California Davis, where I earned a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. I have also had work research experience in the Biotechnology industry I between college and medical school.

My practice philosophy includes respect for colleagues, and patients. I believe that information is powerful, especially in this day and age. I look for collegiality among peers where we can learn from each other. I empower patients and their families by education them about disease processes and treatments so they can make informal decisions.

Can understand Tagalog and Kapangpangan; I can engage in simple conversation in these Filipino dialects. I have picked up some Spanish while working at the county hospital. I enjoy learning languages.

In my free time I enjoy reading non-fiction. I was a competitive swimmer in high school and still enjoy swimming in the pool but prefer to snorkel. I love to travel; my favorite place thus far is the Caribbeans.

My Credentials

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
