Welcome to my home page. Hopefully, you will find it interesting and informative.

I am proud to be a member of the medical group here at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I hope that we can always provide the highest possible quality of care and service to you.

“A wise person must be humble and unassuming, like the rice stalk that bows under the weight of ripe grain.” ~ JING SI APHORISMS

I strongly encourage members to take part in their own medical care so that they are able to get the best care for their health. The business of medicine, after all, is the business of maintaining quality of life and health.

The following outline is a brief synopsis about how I came to work with the staff here at Kaiser Permanente:

I obtained my medical degree from Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan. I completed my internship and residency at MetroHealth Medical Center at Cleveland, OH. I then decided to do a fellowship at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland, OH. I am fluent in English and Taiwanese, Chinese.

My professional interests are Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, obstructive sleep apnea, and general pulmonary diseases. When I am not practicing medicine, I enjoy reading, walking, playing tennis and chess.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, so if there is anything you feel would add to the utility of this website, feel free to let me know. I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
