My Qualifications

I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1985.

My Healthcare Practice

I had my basic medical training in Canada where there is universal care provided by the government. I like the philosophy that I do not have to worry whether my patients can afford the medical care that I prescribe. Kaiser Permanente medical care program shares the same philosophy. I chose this specific field of medicine because I gain much satisfaction in witnessing my patients waking up from major surgeries but having no pain and doing well. In addition to English I also speak Mandarin and Cantonese.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

I feel very safe in giving anesthesia care for Kaiser because we work as a team, not as individual practitioners. When a provider encounters difficulties, he/she will receive lots of help from other providers.

My Outside Interests

I enjoy listening to music from a high end stereo system. I also do ballroom dancing every weekend.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
