Welcome

Welcome to my home page. I hope this page will help you become familiar with me and with the Rehabilitation Department. I am dedicated to giving you the best possible care and hope you will find some valuable tips on this page. You will find a wealth of information in “My Favorite Links” that you will see listed on this page. Some of the organizations listed may deal with problems similar to yours. You are a valued member of your health care team, and your efforts to understand your condition and in implementing your home program can really make a difference in how your feel.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1983 and worked in several facilities before settling on Fremont. In addition to working 30 hours per week in the Fremont clinic, I spend 10 hours per week as a core faculty member with the Neurological Physical Therapy Residency. If you have a neurological condition, you may have the opportunity to have your PT care managed by one of our highly skilled PT neuro residents.

I was born and raised in Indiana and am the proud Aunt of two teen-age nephews. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, takio drumming, theatre, photography and writing. I serve as a Board member of the Crystal Springs Players in San Mateo and enjoy performing in community theatre venues.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
