About Me

After experiencing the empowerment and joy of my own childbirth experience, I decided to become a childbirth educator. I wanted to assist families at the very beginning of their journey of becoming a family. I have been Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator for over 25 years, and currently teach classes in Napa and Marin.

Families today are under tremendous stresses, and many of my couples experienced marital distress. I decided to become a Marriage and Family Therapist to be a resource for families. My education led me to obtain a Harvard Fellowship as an Infant Parent Mental Health Specialist; helping families attach to their infants, and understand the world of babies. I enjoy teaching a Parenting Class on becoming a mom and dad.

In my private practice, I specialize in helping women with prenatal and postpartum depression. Having a baby can turn the world upside down. Add fluctuating hormones to the mix leaves a postpartum mom vulnerable to depression. Having a baby can be the best and the hardest experience. At the same time!

Being pregnant is a special time in a woman’s life, and I am privileged to work with Kaiser Permanente, who has hired special women to meet the needs of pregnant women. It is my passion to help women become the healthiest they can be. I believe every pregnant mother wants to be the best mom possible!

Teaching Lamaze Childbirth and Parenting Classes, working for Kaiser, and having my own private practice have been exciting lifetime goals; but my most rewarding accomplishment is being mother to two young adult children, and a son in high school. My 108-year-old house and my large garden are always waiting for me to carve out a few moments from my busy schedule.
