About Me:

I was proud to become a member of the Kaiser Permanente community in 2008. Initially I was drawn to the organization by the quality of my colleagues and the commitment Kaiser had to providing a high level of care to each person. I also had a very favorable impression of the collaborative care model utilized by Kaiser to help keep people healthy in mind and body. Over time I stay with Kaiser because I have found that through Kaiser I can provide the excellent care that I believe each person deserves. I continue to be astounded by Kaiser’s ability to offer services that can touch the community and change peoples’ lives.

My own training began in North Carolina at Elon University, where I majored in psychology and sociology, focusing on the interactions between people and their environment. After completing my undergraduate degree I decided to relocate to South Florida where I could appreciate both the sun and my opportunity to further my education by attending Nova Southeastern University for a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. I am licensed by the California Board of Psychology (PSY 23036). My training has been diverse and had the added richness of working with people from many different backgrounds. Through my experiences I have developed particular interest in treating eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, relationship issues, and issues of women and older adults.

I firmly believe in helping people live the best life they can live at any given moment in time. My goal in working with you is to help identify the issues that you wish to work on in your own life and to help you achieve the goals that you and I will set together for your treatment. I look forward to helping you make positive changes in your life.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
