My Biography

I was born and raised in San Jose, California. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bioengineering, I received my Medical Degree in 1990 from the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee. I completed an Internship and a Residency in 1994 in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Ohio.

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1994 and currently serve as Chief of the Occupational Medicine Department. I hold memberships in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy family-centered activities.
