My Biography

I started at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco in a part-time capacity, covering the maternity leave of a friend and former colleague, then transferred to Kaiser Permanente’s Oakland Medical Center to lighten the load on another colleague. When my friend moved back east, I became full-time—half in Oakland and half in San Francisco. From February 2009 until now I have been working 30 hours per week with San Francisco Medical Center’s department of wonderful pediatricians who provide top-notch care to patients and their families. Helping the children to fully explore and learn more easily is very gratifying—and seeing how happy this makes their families is great, too. Plus, it is fun--but at times exhausting-- so as of October 1, 20011 I will be working 20 hours per week.

Areas of particular interest to me include the earliest interventions possible for identifying problems, and for preventing or minimizing difficulties in motor function.

I believe patients benefit greatly from Kaiser Permanente’s emphasis on preventive care and from the coordination of services under one system (and often at a single site). We all also reap rewards from Kaiser Permanente’s involvement with the local community.

Welcome to San Francisco Medical Center. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

I see patients at San Francisco facility.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
