Welcome To My Home Page

This website is designed to make it easier for you to interact with me and for me to take care of many of your healthcare needs. I'm eager to work with you to make your experience at Kaiser Permanente a positive one.

My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I find my job as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to be extremely rewarding. My primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of our pediatric patients undergoing surgery or any procedures requiring sedation. However, I most enjoy the interaction with my patients as well as their parents during the very stressful time surrounding surgery. It is my goal to provide both emotional and physical comfort to both my patients and their parents during this very stressful time.

About Me

I was raised in La Canada, California and have had the wonderful opportunity throughout my life to live in Southern and Northern California. After completing my medical school training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, my husband and I moved to Sacramento for our residency training.

I completed my internship with the Department of Surgery and my residency training with the Department of Anesthesiology at UC Davis Medical Center. During our four years in Northern California, our lives were enriched both professionally and personally by so many wonderful experiences. After residency training, we packed our bags again to move back down to Southern California where I completed my fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Upon finishing fellowship, I worked as a Pediatric and General Anesthesiologist at Kaiser Orange County. My husband completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at UC Irvine and we found ourselves packing our bags one last time to move back up to Northern California.

I joined Kaiser Permanente North Valley Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology about one year ago and have immensely enjoyed my time here thus far! Kaiser Permanente allows me to concentrate my energy on patient care with the freedom to make my own decisions and the support of excellent colleagues. I appreciate being part of a team of health professionals that are committed to quality and excellence in healthcare.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
