I was born and raised in Muscatine, Iowa. I graduated from Mount St. Mary's College, in Los Angeles in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. I completed my Masters degree in Social Work at the Catholic University of America, National Catholic School of Social Service, in Washington, D.C. in 1970. I received my clinical training at the Walter Reed Army Hospital from 1968 -1969 and Georgetown University Hospital 1969 - 1970. I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate.

Previous clinical experience: Catholic Social Service, Sacramento, 1970 -1975; Eskaton American River Mental Health Clinic, Sacramento, 1975 -1987; Co-Foundress and Director of Wellspring Women's Center, 1987 -2000

I joined the Permanente Medical Group in May, 2000.

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers

and the Sisters of Social Service of Los Angeles (Catholic Sisters), since 1959.

My hobbies/ interests: Photography and a member of DPF - Death Penalty Focus.

Special Clinical interests: I lead a Codependency Group on Tuesdays, 9:30-11:00 am - six sessions.
