My Practice Philosophy

Dealing with medical problems can certainly be stressful and difficult, especially during pregnancy. The feeling that you don't understand what is happening to you only heightens that stress level. I try everything in my power to make sure patients understand their medical problems, as well as my line of thinking in making decisions about their care. I am a firm believer in patients being involved in their medical care - having an understanding of the problem is the most important step.

About Me

I was raised in Stockton, California and traveled all over the country to complete my medical training. My experiences during those years were invaluable, but I am so happy to be settled here in the South Bay. I attended Northwestern University for both my undergraduate education and my medical training. I received my residency training from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I completed a fellowship in Perinatology at Magee Women’s Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

My Interests

I want to be certain all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your visit, you may leave me a message at the above telephone number. Either, I, or my medical assistant, will return your call.

My Credentials

Medical school Northwestern University School of Medicine, Chicago, IL
Residency Emory University Medical School, Atlanta, GA
Fellowship Magee Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA
Board certification Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
