My Biography

As a Kaiser Permanente member for several years, I have been impressed with the organization’s commitment to excellence in work, and its professionalism. Many patients have expressed that they feel welcomed and cared for here, and they like the flexibility in our schedule of services.

I enjoy working with a team that is rich in its professional and cultural diversity. In my work, I like to interact with a variety of patients from different backgrounds and with different mental health needs. I have a special interest in working with transgender individuals and their families, helping them achieve their transition goals in a positive and successful manner. I co-lead a Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills-building group. I believe in the effectiveness of this model in treating patients at high risk for suicidal and destructive behaviors.

I strongly believe in Kaiser’s vision of helping individuals “thrive.” My own lifestyle encompasses exercise, a balanced diet, and equal amounts of laughter, enjoyment, and curiosity about life. I love listening to music, dancing, traveling, going to the theater, fire dancing and spending time with my family and friends.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
