My Practice Philosophy
I enjoy being an anesthesiologist because of the variety, the intellectual challenge, and above all, the unique opportunity to care for patients at a critical time in their lives, whether it’s during a surgery or an ICU admission. I am excited to join Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara and I will strive to make your perioperative experience a positive one.
About Me
I was born and raised in California. I attended Stanford University for my BS in Chemical Engineering. I received my medical degree in 2006 from UCSF. My Internal Medicine internship was completed at Kaiser Permanente Oakland and my Anesthesiology residency was from UCSF. I remained at UCSF to complete a Critical Care fellowship. I joined Kaiser Permanente as a staff physician in 2011. I am board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
My Interests
I am interested in critical care. On a personal note, I read and travel when I get the chance. I speak English and Cantonese.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
