About Me

I was born in the Bay Area but have spent most of my early years in San Diego, California. I enjoy most outdoor activities including surfing, skiing and basketball. After graduation from the University of California, Los Angeles, I worked for four years in the business world then made a life-changing decision to follow my dream of becoming a physician. The path through medical school and residency training was strenuous, but through this process I have had the opportunity to study abroad and experience the many facets of medical care in different cultures. I started working for Kaiser Permanente in the Minor Injury Clinic midway through my medicine residency (1999) at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. I have had the privilege of working full-time in the Minor Injury Clinics at both the Pleasanton and Walnut Creek Medical Offices since August 2001. It has always been my belief that "personalizing" a medical office visit should be as important as rendering appropriate medical treatment. It is my hope that this is apparent to patients during their visit to the Minor Injury Clinic. When I am not at work, I spend most of my time with my wonderful wife and three little rascals (Kelly, Michael, and Joseph).

I am proud of my appointment as Senior Physician for The Permanente Medical Group as of July 2004. I look forward to a long fulfilling career at Kaiser Permanente. I am honored to be a part of the organization.

My Credentials

Medical school University of St. George's School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies
Residency Highland General Hospital, Oakland, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
