Welcome to My Internet Home Page

Hello and welcome to my home page. I hope this will give you some information about me and my practice.

About Me

I began working for Kaiser Permanente in 1999 at the Stockton Psychiatry Department. There, I provided psychotherapy services to children, adults, couples and families. I also worked in the Chemical Dependency Services Department at the same clinic for a few years and provided individual and group counseling to adults, teens and families. And in August of 2006, I transferred to the Kaiser South Sacramento Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department.

Before working for Kaiser Permanente, I worked with SED (severely emotionally disturbed) children for 10 years in different capacities, including residential treatment, specialized foster care, and schools.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology at San Jose State University and a Masters Degree in Social Work at California State University, Sacramento. I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Philosophy of Care

In my experience working with families, I’ve seen how much of an impact various “systems” (parent-parent systems, parent-child systems, sibling systems, larger family systems, peer systems, community systems, etc) have on children and their families. I try to blend my education, training and experiences in hopes of helping the folks I come in contact with here at Kaiser.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
