I was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. I became interested in physical therapy during junior high school when I was a physical therapy patient for three years to treat scoliosis. I received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL in 1989. I am licensed in Physical Therapy and am board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

My career began in a trauma hospital in Northridge, CA where I worked for four years. I then spent the next three years working in an orthopedic community practice in the Seattle, WA area.

In 1996 I relocated to the SF Bay Area and joined Kaiser Santa Clara working at both the Milpitas and Mountain View clinics before transferring to Santa Clara. Treating orthopedic patients has become my specialty over the years and I enjoy improving my skills through continuing education courses and belonging to the American Physical Therapy Association. My special interests include neck and shoulder pathology, repetitive strain injuries, back pain and prenatal/postpartum exercise.

On a personal note, my husband and two sons keep me busy hiking, camping and playing at the park.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
