About Me

I have been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with Kaiser Permanente since 1997. I enjoy being a CRNA because it gives me a unique opportunity to make a real difference in patients' surgical and obstetric experiences. Patients are often quite worried or scared before surgery, and I find that spending a few extra minutes to make a connection with each patient really helps to alleviate some of their anxiety.

I have worked for Kaiser Permanente for more than 25 years, and I continue to appreciate being part of a team of wonderful people who work hard to give our patients the best possible health care. In the Anesthesia Department we practice in a care team approach. This team utilizes anesthesiologists and CRNAs to provide quality anesthesia care to our members. It is a collegial approach that utilizes the skills and background of all anesthesia providers involved in all aspects of anesthesia care. I am proud to be part of this group.

On a personal note, when not practicing anesthesia, I enjoy cycling, running, hiking, listening to jazz, and eating good food!

My Education and Credentials:

Undergraduate education BSN, California State University, Dominguez Hills
Graduate education MSN, Samuel Merritt College
Membership California Association of Nurse Anesthetists (CANA)

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
