How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

Kaiser Permanente recruited me out of Physical Therapy school. There are several aspects of my work here at Kaiser San Francisco that I enjoy. For instance, I like having variety in my practice. In every setting, the challenges are different, and I feel that variety enhances my learning and personal growth. I also enjoy being an integral part of the medical team. I have always enjoyed working with the staff around me.

I find it fulfilling to be the impetus that causes patients to make positive changes in their lives and to feel better. My practice philosophy is to incorporate all of my life's experiences to foster a positive rapport with patients and—of primary importance--to earn their trust. I also try to find a common thread between myself and the patient. I like to empower patients with some knowledge of the human body, and treat every session as a two-way learning experience. I don't expect patients just to do as I say.

I like working with the younger population, and sometimes with children, to promote healthy lifestyles and, hopefully, extend their quality years.

In my spare, but rare, time, I enjoy cycling (most days I bike to Kaiser), racquetball, outdoor activities, Tai Chi, and going to the movies. I also follow the progress of my hometown baseball team, the San Francisco Giants. I try my best to balance work, play, and rest.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
