I want to personally thank you for choosing Kaiser Permanente as your health care provider. Kaiser Permanente strives to be Simply the Best health care provider for you and your family.

I am honored to be a part of such a dynamic team. The professionalism and respect my colleagues show me and the families we work with makes this a great place to be. A team approach offers so much more than I could provide just on my own. It means that children and families can come to one location and have all their needs addressed. For as long as I have been a part of the Child Psychiatry Team the team has never stopped innovating its services to meet the growing needs of our community.

Diversity is valued and respected in this department. I appreciate the lengths Kaiser Permanente has gone to in order to recruit and keep the best of the best. We have services that meet the needs of the multicultural community we live in. It feels good to be a part of a department that makes diversity a priority in the way we meet the needs of the community we serve.

I work from a narrative approach to therapy. Deconstructing the stories of challenges faced and all the contributing factors plays a big role in understanding the problem. Identifying strengths and building on those strengths is a critical part of this work. I honor each an every person as the expert on him or her self. I am an explorer who teams with people to provide another perspective, view point, awareness and knowledge to help meet challenges that life presents. I believe we are more defined by how we meet challenges rather than by what the challenges are.

I chose to be a child and family therapist because I love working with family systems, children and adults. We are social beings and it is in the context of relationships that change occurs. Empowering families and individuals to see their strengths, and learn to build on them, not only allows them to be able to meet the challenge they are confronted with now, but also to develop the skills they will need for future challenges. Family is a source of strength. I am honored to be invited to play a helping role in empowering families to become the place for problems to be solved.

I am licensed through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. My license number is LCS23498. Please feel free to contact me at (916) 478-5865.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
