About me

I realized this kind of work would be well suited to me after I had a personal injury and was treated by a physical therapist while living in Europe. I decided the field of Physical Therapy would give me an opportunity to improve the quality of life for others.

In my work, I face daily challenges in assessing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal complications while dealing with a variety of personalities. But those challenges are the very things that make my work worthwhile and interesting. I enjoy working for Kaiser Permanente because I value the ability to readily access patient information and contact physicians as needed to provide quality care. I also enjoy working with a good staff team.

My clinical interests are in orthopedic manual therapy. I prefer to use a combination of manual therapy and exercises when treating patients. I’m a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and involved with research work for Loma Linda Physical Therapy students.

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife, cycling, hiking, and running with my dog. I’m also very involved with my church and in mission work.

I speak conversational Spanish and some French.

My education and credentials:

Undergraduate Education BS in Business Management, Southwestern Adventist College
Undergraduate Education BS in Life Sciences, Loma Linda University
Graduate Education MPT degree, Loma Linda University
Advanced Training Manual Therapy, Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles
Advanced Training Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Kaiser Permanente, Pomona
Membership American Physical Therapy Association

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
