Welcome to My Home Page!

I was born in El Paso, Texas, but I have lived in Fresno most of my life. I am married and have a wonderful daughter who married recently.

Following graduate school, I worked as the program director at the American Heart Association for four years. I then worked for Fresno State where I managed the Allied Health Academies Project and in 2003 was hired here at Kaiser Permanente as a clinical health educator.

I very much enjoy my position where I have had the pleasure of serving both English-and Spanish-speaking members. I find it extremely rewarding when I can assist members in staying healthy by eating right, exercising, and avoiding smoking.

My interests include: Oil painting, calligraphy, reading, and teaching Bible studies at a women's prison in Chowchilla. I also enjoy my two spunky pomeranians who often keep my husband and I entertained in the evenings when we get home from work.

I look forward to meeting you!

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
