About me
I have always been interested in working with people, and in helping individuals and families find paths to healing and wholeness, and that lead to my choice of psychiatry as a career. I primarily work with children and teenagers, but enjoy working with all age groups. I have particular interests in mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and women’s mental health issues. Although my role is primarily prescribing and managing psychiatric medicines, I believe that my training and life perspective help me view patients in a larger perspective, and I enjoy working collaboratively with other mental health and chemical dependency professionals to help patients.
I have worked in a variety of settings prior to working here, and what I like best about Kaiser Permanente is its integrated system of care, which allows easy access to labs, tests, and consultations with other medical professionals. I enjoy working as part of a team in mental health.
When I am away from work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. Having moved to California from the East Coast, I love being able to spend time outdoors all year round. I am an enthusiastic gardener and enjoy learning about plants from aesthetic, healing, and historical perspectives.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
