I chose emergency medicine because it provides me the opportunity to be the first to examine, diagnose and treat those who seek urgent medical care. I enjoy the fast pace and constant demand for rapid and clear decision making. The short but intense relationships formed with my patients during their time of need, makes my job very rewarding.

Kaiser Permanente provides a wonderful setting to practice medicine. There are no financial restrictions on studies I can order or medications I can prescribe. Together with friendly and knowledgeable consultants in all specialties and caring and thorough primary care providers, I am able to provide all patients with the highest quality care.

I grew up in San Jose, received my undergraduate and medical school training at UC Davis, and completed my residency at the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining Kaiser in 2007, I worked for 5 years at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. When I am not working, I enjoy working out, running, golf and travel.

My Credentials

Medical school UC Davis School of Medicine, Davis, CA
Residency University of Connecticut, Farmington, CT
Board certification Emergency Medicine, American Board of Emergency Medicine

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
