Welcome to My Home Page!
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Adolescent Chemical Dependency Services at Kaiser Permanente, Pleasant Hill. I have worked in a wide range of diverse settings since beginning my career in mental health from business environments as a consultant, to community mental health settings, residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and within the justice system.
As a therapist, I am supportive and challenging, with a sense of humor, and have found that this process can be life changing. I have a particular interest in teens and families who are dealing with both mental health and addiction issues. I approach all of these issues from a compassionate place with a focus of learning how to be kind and supportive as we attempt to navigate these major life cycle changes.
I feel very fortunate to be part of such a talented group of professionals, and really enjoy the team approach to care. We are one of the largest adolescent chemical dependency programs in Northern California, providing excellent group programs, chemical dependency education and treatment, for teens and their families. If you have any concerns about your teen, please feel free to contact us.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
