Hello and welcome to my web page. I am a nurse practitioner in Elder Care. I see Kaiser Permanente members who live in nursing homes. I drive to the nursing homes and see the members, families, and loved ones there.

My Practice Philosophy

My grandmother influenced me. From that experience came my love of elders and geriatrics. My mother stroked when I was five years old. I learned to care early and this led me into my nearly 30 year career as a nurse. I value honesty, open communication, integrity and caring. I value protection of our members’ health and well-being. My philosophy is to be of service and to be the best I can be.

My Credentials

Bachelors Degree Union Institute
Specialty Family Nurse Practitioner
Board Certified American Nurses’ Association

Please click here for a list of my publications. I have spoken at local, national, and international meetings on the topics listed and other topics. I presented as featured speaker or in poster presentations for Geriatrics and the North American Nursing Diagnosis Group, both individually, in partners and team.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I’ve been with Kaiser Permanente for 6 years. In my nearly 30 years of experience with health care in the United States, Kaiser Permanente is the best. I am proud to work for Kaiser Permanente.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I have the ability to compare health care systems over a time continuum of years, over areas of quality, teamwork support, education, new technology, trends and changing systems and every other facet imaginable. Kaiser Permanente is head and shoulders above the rest.

On a Personal Note. . .

I am the grandmother to identical twins girls born in 2004; Nenah born 1993, and baby boy born 2006. I write novels, screenplays and poetry. I read a lot and love to travel and have fun.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
