My Biography

I was a Kaiser Permanente member before I came to work at the San Francisco facility, and I was always pleased with the delivery of my own medical care under Kaiser Permanente’s model. I learned about the San Francisco Medical Center from several of my friends and family members who were already working here. I believe our integrated and comprehensive health care system is the most optimal way to meet patients’ needs. For example, patients do not need to waste time awaiting approvals from HMOs or from separate insurance plans. They are also free to select their own providers from any of our facilities. Often, I am able to provide patients with appointments at the time of their call. Kaiser Permanente is impacting how medical care is delivered in this country.

When I am away from the medical center, I enjoy sewing, singing, watching movies, visiting the park, and reading everything. I also like to walk for exercise!

Education: Medical Assistant certificate, John Adams Community College
Began Working in Field: 1987
Joined Kaiser Permanente: 1987

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
