My Biography

"Which is better, one or two?" Don't worry! There is no correct answer. A correct glasses or contact lens prescription is only good if it works for you, the patient. At Kaiser, the doctors have access to the latest highly sophisticated, accurate, and best of all, objective technology. After years of study and continuing education, and 18 years of practice and listening to patient concerns, I know that practicing Optometry is truly an art. An effective optometrist helps a patient see as well as he is capable of seeing and must address the patient's lifestyle needs. I've always welcomed feedback to improve patient satisfaction and to be a better clinician.

Before joining Kaiser, I managed a high volume contact lens practice so I am very familiar with this modality. I have also worked a few years in various Bay Area elementary school vision screenings so I know how challenging it is to get accurate and timely responses from children. Other highlights of my career are my participation in several international vision missions with the Lion's Club to Chile, Venezuela, and Mexico. My Spanish and Cantonese are limited, but my comprehension is universal about vision care. I am also currently involved in a macular degeneration study with a biotech firm and have some low vision measurement experience.

When not working, I am a doting housewife and mother. That is my true full time job with great benefits. I also enjoy shopping, painting my interpretation of Matisse and other artist's masterpieces, reading the next book club selection, skimming home, garden, travel, financial, and fashion magazines at the local library, low impact bicycling and walking, and yoga. Have a great day and I hope to meet you soon. Namaste!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
