About Me

Welcome to my home page. I'm Avery Figueroa, case manager for the Child and Family team here at Kaiser Psychiatry in Vacaville. I have only been practicing at Kaiser Permanente for a short time but feel privileged to be a part of such a supportive and talented team.

I truly enjoy working with children and families and helping individuals discover strengths and unique qualities they had not recognized in themselves. My practice philosophy comes from several different sources; however, I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I understand that it can be very difficult to come and speak with a stranger about personal struggles, especially related to your children or your family. I believe it is essential to privilege your knowledge about the struggles your family is facing and will support you and your family through this challenging time.

As a case manager, I also help children and families navigate the complicated systems within our community. If your child or family needs intervention or advocacy within the school system or needs to be connected with community resources, I will help be a support through this process.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
