My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a hospitalist. This means I take care of patients hospitalized for acute medical illnesses and health issues. I decided to do this because I enjoy tackling critical and complicated medical problems which hospitalized patient can have and helping them to recover and return to their families. I also help out part-time in the Adult Medicine clinic with primary care medicine.

My Practice Philosophy

My practice philosophy is to practice evidenced-based medicine and to communicate with patients and families concerning medical diagnoses, work-up findings and treatment plans.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I joined Kaiser Permanente in August 2005 and have been enjoying working with other health care providers, sub-specialists and support staff.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I appreciate working as a team within Kaiser Permanente and being able to access technology and sub-specialists in order to provide the best medical care to our patients.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

My professional interests are pulmonary and critical care medicine and I am affiliated with the local and state medical societies.

On a Personal Note…

I enjoy reading, sports, and spending my free time with family and friends.
