Welcome to My Homepage!

I picked medicine as a career because it is exciting and gratifying to practice the art and the science of healing people. My particular specialty is rheumatology, which is the study of inflammatory joint and autoimmune diseases. I chose to pursue a career in rheumatology because for me it is the most interesting subspecialty of internal medicine and I enjoy developing long term relationships with patients. I like the challenge of diagnosing the diseases in our field, many of which can arise very subtly. It gives me great personal satisfaction to help patients get better from these illnesses. My philosophy is to try to offer patients the best treatment options. I offer recommendations based on evidence from carefully conducted scientific research and reliable medical information found in medical journals.

I started working here as a rheumatologist in 2006. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because it is an organization which is able to orchestrate its health care system so that its physicians and staff can deliver quality patient care. I was and still am very impressed with the health professionals and staff that I meet and work with here at Kaiser Permanente. They have the ability to deliver great health care do so with a helpful, friendly attitude.

I am a member of the American College of Rheumatology.

On a personal note, when I’m not at work I like to spend time hiking, reading, and enjoying quality time with my family.
