Thank you for taking the time to visit my homepage. My name is Asraa Namiq and I am a physician in the Department of Pathology here at South Sacramento. I began working for Kaiser Permanente after practicing for a year and a half as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas. I joined Kaiser Permanente for its friendly environment, state of the art facility, its mission for providing patients excellent care and not to mention to escape the midwest weather.

My practice philosophy is to work hard and thrive to better serve the patients by providing the accurate diagnosis. I am a detailed oriented person and pathology is the most fit for me since I look at patients in a detailed way (making diagnosis at microscope level). I am interested in general anatomic pathology, and I’m board certified in both anatomical and clinical pathology with subspecialty in cytopathology.

I enjoy spending time with my husband who is an aerospace engineer and my two cute girls. My hobbies include walking, sewing (if my kids let me) and shopping. I’m enjoying California weather after being in the Midwest for 10 years, and so happy that I’ll miss both snow and humidity not to mention tornadoes. I speak two languages, English and Arabic and my saying in life is “smile life is a big camera”.

I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment and further discussing your healthcare with you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
