Welcome to my home page! This is designed to offer you information about me and the services I offer as a Clinical Health Educator (CHE), as well as to provide you with resources to help you “live long and thrive.”
I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I was fortunate enough, however, to have lived in other parts of the country while in school. I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain my Master of Public Health degree from Emory University. I have worked with Kaiser Permanente since 2005.
My beliefs about health and wellness are one and the same with what Kaiser Permanente believes— that we all have the power to change. I firmly believe that positive lifestyle changes, no matter how small, will help you achieve better health. As a CHE, I can help you prepare for and maintain these changes when you are ready.
My areas of interest include health promotion through behavior change, particularly for diabetes, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, congestive heart failure, and weight management. I especially love working with older adults to help them achieve their best possible health throughout their golden years.
In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, watersports, camping, mountain biking, road trips, running after my very energetic nieces and nephews, and reading.
