Welcome to My Home Page

I was born and grow up in Iran. I finished my medical education in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. After three years working in rural areas and two years of post-graduate training in Internal Medicine in Iran, I was forced to immigrate to United States because of religious prosecutions in Iran. I spent three years in research in the University of California San Francisco/ Mount Zion Medical Center in San Francisco and Stanford University School of Medicine. The result was My Publications of seven articles in different prestigious medical journals.

I then moved to Savannah, GA to finish my post-graduate training in Memorial Medical Center Backus Children’s Hospital. After returning to California, I joined Kaiser Permanente at Modesto and I have been working here as a Hospitalist since then.

Recently, I have joined the volunteers in Modesto Gospel Mission to help the people that have no medical insurance and need our help to get back to their lives.

I have been providing care for different variety of people in variety of situations, from rural villages in Iran with poor and uneducated people to private fancy hospitals in Iran. From a very advanced research center for cancer treatment in San Francisco, California to Memorial hospital in historical, beautiful Savannah in Georgia. I believe in patient care in excellence on the basis of mutual trust between patient and physician. I believe we can build such a mutual trust in the Kaiser Permanente system because as a physician, I am not much involved with financial part of the practice. My goal is to do what is best for the patient.

I am married to a family practice physician and we enjoy hiking and camping in the nature. The language I speak in addition to English is Farsi.

My clinical interest is taking care of hospitalized patients.

My philosophy of care: “patient care in excellence based on mutual trust between patient and physician.”

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.
