Who Am I as a Professional and Philosophy of Care and Why I Chose Kaiser:

I am a clinical psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, South San Francisco, with a particular interest in adolescents and their families. I completed my residency at Kaiser Oakland's Child and Family Psychiatry Department in 2004. My predoctoral internship was at St. Mary's Medical Center - McAuley Behavioral Health Services with a rotation on the Adolescent Inpatient Unit and Adolescent Day Treatment. I have a strong interest and background in pediatric neuropsychological assessment. Currently, my clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, attachment disorders, and eating disorders. My dissertation topic was on the impact of romantic attachments on identity development in young people. I chose Kaiser because I enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary integrated-care setting where we are able to provide so many specialized treatments to our patients. I also like to collaborate with and learn from professionals across a wide range of disciplines. I am excited to work in my department because I have the opportunity to help families access their own strengths to promote change.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
