Hello and welcome to my web page.

I am Anu Pathak, and am one of the Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Kaiser Permanente in Hayward and Fremont.

I was born and raised in New Delhi, India, and where I did my initial medical degree. I completed my Pediatrics residency at Delhi University. I came to the United States in 1992, starting in Pediatrics, and found myself fascinated by the effectiveness of anesthesiologists in helping alleviate pain, taking care of critical issues, and working with various specialities. I completed my Anesthesia residency at Stanford Hospital in 1996.

I enjoy the art and science of anesthesia. I love taking care of people, specially children, and providing them the reasurring care and comfort they need. I worked in various Bay Area hospitals and surgery centers before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2002. The comprehensive health care model of Kaiser Permanente is something that I believe in. Like all of my colleagues, I strive to provide complete peri operative care, and ensuring that the experience in the operating room is as safe, smooth and stress free as possible.

In taking care of you and your loved ones, I communicate and coordinate with your primary physician, surgeon, and any other specialists involved in your care. My goal is to provide the quality of care you deserve and come to expect of our team at Kaiser Permanente.

I hope you will find this site and its links useful in providing you with the information you need.

Thank you for your time and interest.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
