My Practice Philosophy
I recognize and respect the uniqueness of each patient and family. I strive to provide care tailored to the needs of each individual.
About Me
I was born and raised in Merced, California. I attended California Institute of Technology (Caltech) for my undergraduate education in Biology and Chemistry, graduating in 1989. I received my medical degree and PhD at University of California, Irvine in 1998. My pediatric residency training was completed at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. I attended Stanford University for a fellowship in Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Pediatric Neurology. After completing training, I remained at Stanford/LPCH for three years before practicing locally in the community. I am pleased to have become a provider for The Permanente Medical Group and Kaiser in 2009. I am certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
My Interests
Professionally, my medical interests include neurodevelopment and general pediatric neurology. On a personal note, I love to cook and spend time with my family.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
