Welcome to my home page. Here you will find information about me, information on general eye conditions, laser correction, optical sales services and how to prepare for your appointment. There are also other links to resources on health and Kaiser Services that I hope you will find helpful. The Kaiser Permanente web site has a wealth of information on various topics such as health education classes, pharmacy refills, and booking routine appointments with your general physician.

In case you are new to eye services, you can call the optometry department to schedule an eye appointment for routine checks or for vision/eye problems. If you already have an appointment, it is always helpful to bring your most current glasses to the appointment.

If you spend a significant amount of time working in front of a computer, you may benefit from a pair of computer glasses. In order to customize a pair of glasses to best meet your occupational needs, it is helpful to know how far you sit from your monitor. So before your appointment, you should measure the distance from the monitor to your eyes and bring that measurement to your appointment.

If you are a contact lenses wearer, please come to your contact lens appointment wearing your contact lenses for at least 3 hours before your appointment. Also bring in the original contact lens boxes, bottles or foil tops containing information about the contact lenses, and bring your glasses.

If you have scheduled a low vision appointment, please bring to the appointment any current glasses, sun glasses, hand held magnifiers or other low vision devices you currently use. Also bring any reading material or items related to your visual goals. For example you can bring your knitting supplies if you wish to have help with that hobby.

If you have special needs such as for physical assistance or for language assistance, please let our receptionists know at the time of booking so that any special accommodations can be made to help make your appointment run as smoothly as possible.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
