Welcome!

Welcome and thank you for visiting my home page. Cardiac Electrophysiology is a rapidly growing field with many exciting new technology, and research advancing the field. I work with a group of five Electrophysiologists who specialize in all types of arrhythmias. I assist with patient care, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implant. There is never a dull moment.

Background

I completed the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program at Stanford Medical Center in 2003. I am NCCPA certified in primary care and surgery and licensed with the California Physician Assistant Committee. In addition, I am a Registered Dietitian.

Clinical Interests

Arrhythmias are very interesting. There are no two identical EKGs. They provide a lot of information regarding one's heart condition and how one is "wired". It's also exciting that some arrhythmias can be cured and greatly improves quality of life. Beyond EKGs, there is always something new to learn in regards to new technology advancing our understanding and precision of treatment. In EP, one can always remain a student.

Personal Interests

With my leisure time, I enjoy being outdoors, reading, and traveling to new places.

Philosophy of Care

Treat every patient like they are your own family member. It's important that patients are well informed in order to actively participate in making their own health care decisions.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
