Welcome to My Personal Home Page
Although I hail originally from Wisconsin, I moved to the Bay Area resident in 1990 and fell in love with all it has to offer. I trained in anesthesia at the University of California San Francisco and bought a house in San Francisco recently. In my spare time I enjoy hiking throughout northern California, shopping at local farmers markets, baking and cooking as well as enjoying the wide variety of restaurants in the area. I also enjoy travel, both within the US to visit friends, and abroad. I recently traveled to Thailand with my sister and had a marvelous time.
I am a big fan of the Kaiser organization and its philosophy, including its focus on preventative medicine and the camaraderie that is fostered among the physicians and nurses I work with, both in and out of the operating room.
I am interested in the art as well as the science of Anesthesia, and am very aware that part of my role is making sure my patient is relaxed and confident in my care, as well as safe and comfortable. I enjoy meeting my patients and their families, and consider that interaction to be a large part of the satisfaction I receive from my work. I look forward to taking care of you and or your family member.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
