Practice Philosophy

I have been blessed to work with an excellent team of eye care specialist at Santa Clara Kaiser, where I can focus on the clinical aspect of optometry. It is my goal to provide you with the highest quality of optometric care based on advanced clinical information and research. To better serve you, I hope to maintain an open patient-doctor relationship. Through open communication and patient education, you can participate in your personalized patient care and make informed decision. I deeply believe in improving oneself and quality of life.

About Me

I was borned in Vietnam and raised up in Southern California. Therefore, I am fluent in Vietnamese only, although many people think I look like Chinese or Korean. Received glasses at the age of twelve made me realized the importance of good vision and the lack of health care, knowledge, and resource in Vietnam. I was also curious about why vision changes and decided to pursue an education in optometry shortly after I finished high school. I received a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry from University of California at Davis. And spent another four years studying at Southern California College of Optometry, where I graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree with Beta Sigma Kappa honor. When not at work, I enjoy raising my daughter and volunteering at her school. I like traveling and reading.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
