About Me

I received a bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of California at Santa Cruz. After working for seven years in women’s health care, I went on to obtain a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of California at Berkeley. I worked as a genetic counselor at Children’s Hospital Oakland in both the Medical Genetics Department and the Hematology Department for five years before joining Kaiser Permanente in 1994. I am certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and am a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors. I am especially interested in prenatal, pediatric, and cancer genetics.
