About Me

The main reason I like being a doctor is the interaction and care I get to provide to my patients. Through my experience as a physician, I have learned that every patient is like a book that tells a different story and as a physician, I have to be able to interpret the meaning. Once I understand it, I can then understand my patients and their needs.

I have chosen internal medicine because of the close relationship that I can develop with my patients. I get to know their families and caregivers and have the ability to follow a patient throughout their life. If I'm lucky, they will give me the opportunity to take care of their entire family.

Kaiser Permanente gives me the opportunity to spend time with my patients by providing a caring staff and a multidisciplinary approach to managing patients.

My Credentials

Medical school American University of Caribbean - School of Medicine, St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
Internship Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC
Residency Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, IL
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
