About Me As A Professional

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. After growing up in a suburb of Milwaukee, I spent eight years in Madison at the University of Wisconsin, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Music, as well as my medical degree. I then decided it was time to leave Wisconsin and move to sunny California. I completed my pediatric residency at UCLA. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000, and I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

I work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. When you call for an appointment, every effort will be made to have your child see me. However, if I am unavailable, one of my associates will be able to take care of your child's health care needs. I have a shared practice partnership with Dr. Michelle Ernst. We have very similar training backgrounds and practice styles. For years we have shared an office and often cover one another’s patients. Specifically, we see each other’s patients, answer messages, prescribe and refill medications, and discuss anything that needs coordination or follow-up. We also have complementary work schedules, such that one of us is usually in the office everyday.

You can learn more about making appointments with me by reading My Healthcare Practice or about my philosophies on different aspects of pediatric care by reading My Philosophies.

About Me As A Person

I have always enjoyed playing the piano and singing. As a child, I wanted to be ''little orphan Annie,'' but was never discovered by the right talent scout! Instead, I became a pediatrician, a choice that I have never regretted.

I live in Roseville with my wonderful husband, Christopher Ha, who is a dermatologist. We spend most of our free time adoring our two children, Maya and Justin. You can always see updated digital pictures of the kids in my exam rooms. You can thank my two children for giving me real life education and experience in pediatrics.

We host a weekly Bible study at our home, and we are active members at Adventure Christian Church, where I sing in the choir and on the worship team. We try to stay fit by swimming, biking, and jogging. My husband is the best chef in the family, and I am the best eater. We participate in a monthly dinner club, where we experiment with new recipes. We enjoy spicy Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian food, but those who know me well know that my absolute favorite food is chocolate.

Please call (916) 784-4190 for appointments and advice. Our call center provides excellent advice, 24 hours a day. If you need further questions or concerns to be addressed, you may leave a message for me with the call center.
