My Biography

In 1980, I joined Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco after completing my internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine training. I have had a very rewarding medical practice, working with dedicated colleagues in the hospital and in the outpatient setting. But most of all, I have had a wonderful opportunity to serve the members of Kaiser whether it be reassuring someone their cold would get better to treating critically ill patients in the ICU. I hope I have given as much as I have gained from my patients and their familes over many years.

My Credentials

Medical school University of Michigan School of Medicine, Ann Arbor, MI
Internship Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI
Residency Children's Hospital, San Francisco, CA
Fellowship Veterans Administration Medical Center, Martinez, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine
Board certification Pulmonary Disease, American Board of Internal Medicine

Special Interests/Skills: Regional Lung Transplantation Board Chairperson

As a Pulmonologist, I take appointments by referral only. If you do not yet have a referral, please call our appointment/advice line at (650) 742-2100 to make an appointment with a general practitioner. Once you have a referral, to make an appointment in our sub-specialty department, please call (650) 742-2230.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
