Biography
I was born and raised in Redondo Beach, California and have had the opportunity to live in some wonderful places, like St. George’s, Grenada and Hampshire, in the U.K. My husband relocated with me to the Bay Area this past spring and we are very happy here.
I received my medical education from University of St. George's School of Medicine
Grenada, West Indies in 1998. My residency training was done here at Santa Clara Kaiser, with an additional year as Chief Resident. I eagerly started my hospitalist career in 2001 at Santa Clara, becoming part of a team of doctors I admired at an excellent medical center. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
During the past year, I have had the experience of being a Kaiser patient too. I underwent surgery for a back problem, so I know firsthand how stressful being hospitalized can be. From that experience, the importance of being reassuring to my patients and their family members, as my doctors were, was re-emphasized to me. I want to be available to you to answer any questions about your care plan while in the hospital and to carefully review your discharge plan in detail with you.
Outside of the hospital, I love being with my daughter, who was born in July 2007. I also enjoy watching films, going to the opera/symphony, and travelling with my husband.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
