Our Hospital Medicine Program

At Kaiser South San Francisco we have a Hospitalist program. This means that we have a group of physicians who are dedicated to taking care of patients who are in the hospital. We work closely with your personal care provider to make sure that your care is coordinated before, during and after your stay in our hospital.

We also work closely with the nurses and other members of our health care team. When you are discharged, we will notify your personal care provider and make sure that they have the information they need to care for you when you get home.

My Biography

Chief Residency: St. Mary's
Joined Kaiser Permanente: August, 1999

Personal Philosophy of practice:

I enjoy the variety and fast pace of hospital medicine. Helping patients and their families better understand their disease process and how it can be treated is also very rewarding for me.

Practice at TPMG

Practicing at Kaiser Permanente allows me easy access to subspecialist I highly respect. I can order specialized testing without any hassles or interference by non-physicians, the way it should be.

Professional Interests:

I especially enjoy infectious disease medicine.

Personal

Last minute road trips with my husband Lloyd and dogs Chloe and Pete make me happy. Cinnamon rolls and naps are a close second.

Advice to memebers

Always bring a copy of your current medications with their doses and frequency with you to the hospital. Having a family member or someone familiar with your medical history accompany you to the hospital can really help insure we get accurate information quickly. Have them stay until you're seen by a physican.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
