My Practice Philosophy

I chose to be in the emergency medicine field because I want to be able to save people during a true health crisis in their life. I believe in providing high quality, evidence-based care for all my patients.

About Me

I was born in Kuwait; raised in India until the age of 8, then in the Bay Area. I attended UC Berkeley, graduating in 2001 with a dual major in Molecular and Cell Biology, and Development Studies. I received my medical education at UC San Francisco in 2006. I completed my internship at UC San Francisco Medical Center and my residency training at Stanford University School of Medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2010.

My Interests

My interest is emergency medicine quality improvement. On a personal note, I enjoy Bharata Natyam (Indian Classical Dance) and tennis. In addition to English, I speak Tamil and Hindi.

My Credentials

Medical school UC San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
Internship UC San Francisco Medical Center, San Francisco, CA
Residency Stanford University School of Medicine, Palo Alto, CA

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
